Breitling has announced a global, multi-year partnership with Aston Martin and the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team, becoming the Official Watch Partner of one of motorsport’s most iconic names.
This collaboration brings together Aston Martin’s legacy of handcrafted performance cars and Formula 1® engineering with Breitling’s century-long pursuit of precision timekeeping—uniting two worlds driven by speed, innovation, and excellence.
The partnership makes its debut with the launch of the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team, marking Breitling’s return to Formula 1® and celebrating a shared heritage rooted in performance.
Two Names. One Obsession: Speed.
For over a century, Breitling and Aston Martin have followed parallel paths shaped by a fascination with speed—one measuring it, the other mastering it.
In 1907, Léon Breitling introduced the Vitesse, one of the world’s first chronographs capable of accurately measuring speed, laying the foundation for precision timing in motorsport and beyond. Around the same time in England, Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford were testing a hand-built vehicle on the demanding Aston Hill climb—an achievement that would give birth to the Aston Martin name.
These early milestones set the tone for two brands destined to define performance in their respective worlds.
From Aviation to Formula 1®
Aston Martin made its Formula 1® debut in 1959—an era when legendary drivers Graham Hill and Jim Clark were often seen wearing Breitling Navitimers. Originally developed in 1952 as a wrist-worn cockpit instrument for pilots, the Navitimer allowed precise calculations of speed, distance, and fuel consumption, making it equally relevant in the air and on the track.
By the 1960s, both brands had become symbols of modern design and engineering. Breitling’s bold chronographs and Aston Martin’s iconic DB models came to represent a lifestyle where performance met elegance—cemented in popular culture through their appearances in the James Bond era.

A Shared Philosophy of Design and Precision
“Aston Martin builds cars that are as much about presence as performance,” says Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling. “We share that same philosophy—every detail has a purpose, and nothing is left to chance.”
Lawrence Stroll, Executive Chairman of Aston Martin and the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team, adds:
“Our pursuit of a World Championship demands partners who match our ambition. Breitling embodies the precision, craftsmanship, and engineering excellence that define everything we do.”
